What's in the workbook

• 33 assessment statements — three per DAMA knowledge area, written as observable facts ("backup and recovery are tested, not just configured"), not aspirations.
• A 0–5 scale with teeth — Absent, Ad hoc, Repeatable, Defined, Managed, Optimized, each defined so scorers can't hide in the middle.
• Dropdown scoring with the scale in the cell prompt.
• A live Results tab — per-area averages, maturity level, gap-to-5, and a priority rank, all computed by formulas as you score. Overall maturity at the bottom.
• A cover sheet with the scoring guide and usage rules.

How to run it well

1. Score what is, not what's planned. The roadmap on your wiki scores a 0 until it exists.
2. Score as a group — governance lead, a steward, an engineer, a consumer. The disagreements are the findings.
3. Read the rank as arithmetic, not orders. Priority 1 means biggest gap; whether it's your first investment depends on what your strategy actually needs. Judgment stays with you.
4. Re-run every 6–12 months with the same scorers and track the trend.
